Far North Houston is a diverse neighborhood with a broad choice of neighborhoods from which to choose. Homes in this area tend to be more affordable in the northern subdivisions; however, there is something for everyone. Greenwood Forest is a beautiful subdivision just south of FM 1960 where tree-lined streets frame a wide array of homes, some of which could be called mansions. And there’s Remington Park, just off I-45—a relatively new subdivision with affordable homes.
For our purposes, we have defined Far North Houston as the area bounded by I-45 on the west and US 59/I-69 to the east, divided in half by the Hardy Toll Road. The northern and southern boundaries are the Sam Houston Tollway/BW8 and I-10, respectively. There are shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues throughout the area.
Both the Spring and Aldine Independent School Districts have schools here.
Rentals range from below $1,000 to about $3,500 per month, and single family homes are available from below $100K to upwards of $700K.
