One of the most active areas of Houston has to be the Northwest. There’s old and new and everything in between. Residential areas like Jersey Village and Copperfield are close to major traffic arteries so that commuters can get to their jobs easily. Area residents can enjoy the best of country and city living in the Far Northwest Houston. The area boasts the Silverado entertainment complex and a wide variety of restaurants and retail businesses and new houses. Northwest Houston also includes much of the area known as “1960” where Cypress Creek Parkway (another major thoroughfare) snakes across the northwest portion of unincorporated Harris County, and the beautiful Champions area offers some of Houston’s most exclusive homes.
Freeway expansion in the area is making commuting even better.
The Northwest sector intersects The West Loop (I-610), US 290 (currently being widened), the Sam Houston Tollway/Beltway 8, FM 1960/Cypress Creek Parkway, TX 249, and many local roads for getting around. Downtown is 15-20 miles away, but there’s plenty of entertainment, shopping, and more. Willowbrook Mall is one of the area’s largest and most popular shopping centers.
Northwest Houston offers every type of real estate imaginable: single family, multi-family, high rise, and townhouse/condominium. Prices tend to be higher “inside The Loop” (I-610) with lower prices further out from the city center.
