The northern communities in the Houston metropolitan area are a world apart. There is literally something for everyone!
The Heights
Old meets new in this beautifully renovated neighborhood just northwest of Downtown. The Heights began as a planned community in the 1930s. In recent years homeowners and investors have restored some of those elegant homes; others were razed and modern versions replaced them. Either way, The Heights is one of the hottest real estate segments in Houston, and it’s a great place to live!
Spring
The northern suburb of Spring has affordable homes, great schools, and a fantastic location. Just minutes from the new ExxonMobil campus and other business centers, residents of Spring have a distinct advantage over some other commuters.
The Woodlands
The natural beauty of The Woodlands is hard to beat. Trees are preserved rather than cut down, and very strict building codes and deed restrictions preserve the scenic roadways throughout the city. For shopping and entertainment, the Waterway area has it all—restaurants, shopping centers, and one of the area’s most popular malls.
This area, which encompasses northern Harris County and southern Montgomery County, has everything going for it. All major freeways are nearby, so access to Downtown and other destinations is convenient.
George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is located just off Beltway 8, with access to both domestic and international flights.
No matter what your lifestyle, hobbies, profession, or taste, this northern area has something to offer. Homes are available in every conceivable style and price range, and rentals are widely available, too.
